Energy Efficient Lighting LED or Compact Fluorescent lighting Alternatives

Welcome to E-fficiency Central, a truly environmentally responsible lighting blog. We provide our clients with energy consumption reduction programs through the use of high quality, energy efficient and environmentally responsible lighting systems specifically designed for the residential and commercial sectors. This brief explains how E-fficiency can provide a fiscally viable, environmentally responsible choice for lighting your homes and businesses in accordance with any Environmental Awareness or Energy Conservation action plans you might have or are thinking of implementing.

Until the recent introduction of the QLED PAR replacement lamp series, there were no energy saving Compact Fluorescent Floods or LED Spot Lamps available specifically designed to directly replace the standard 75 – 120 watt Halogen Par lamps for the Commercial/Retail sector. Through an extensive market study, E-fficiency learned there was a high demand for such a product line and spent the greater portion of 2005 developing a product to meet that specific demand.

We have recently released these lamps to the public with overwhelming response and we are proud to offer this brand new line of Super High Output Energy Efficient PAR replacement lamps to the commercial sector at an exceptional price. These lamps are guaranteed to fit any new or existing incandescent or halogen fixture. They offer reductions of 80% or more in energy consumption and have a life span of 10,000 – 100,000 hours. With lumen outputs that exceed current halogen and incandescent lighting systems, our QLED lamps are on track to becoming the standard in commercial and retail applications. They are available in a variety of wattages, in cool white andrm white and colours and all have a color rendering index (CRI) of 82 or higher to achieve true color rendering of fabrics, materials and product displays without harmful UV ray emissions or excessive heat.

QLED PAR lamps have considerable appeal to any organization with large or multiple facilities. Our “E-fficiency™” lighting energy analysis software generates energy reduction and environmental assessment reports, based on accurate input data, for our clients. This software was developed by Trinity Lighting Inc., with a team of electrical engineers, the National Research Council of Canada and the Environmental Protection Agency over a period of three years. With it, we can accurately demonstrate how any business or building that uses lighting in product displays and general ambient lamping will dramatically reduce their lighting overhead.

For example, by replacing 1000 – standard 90w halogen Par 38 lamps with 1000 - QLED PAR 30 lamps in some of your locations, a lighting overhead reduction of $510,260.10 in the first year can be achieved including the initial expense for the lamps and the maintenance cost to install them. Capital recovery for your investment is at 6.1 months with a return on investment of 385.59%. At the end of the second year, the overhead reduction increases to an accumulated $1.577 million (for yr. 1 and yr. 2) because re-lamping costs are offset to the third year. Over a 5 year period, your organization will have increases in your gross profits by approximately $4.075 million.

The audit information discussed in this post is based on several typical locations using an average of 1000 lamps per location. The cost for electricity is estimated at an average price of 5¢ per kilowatt hour and an average labor rate of $7.50 per hour for each employee. We would like to stress that the information used is strictly hypothetical, is preliminary in nature and does not reflect an accurate overhead reduction estimate since the cost for electricity, number of lamps and labour rates vary. In order for us to conduct an accurate audit, we require to audit each facility, or obtain an accurate lighting assessment from our clients.

In conclusion, E-fficiency Central and Trinity Lighting Inc. can help increase your gross profits by reducing your overall lighting operating and maintenance expenses while simultaneously providing an environmentally responsible alternative to your existing lighting systems. Due to the nature of this form of Lighting, an 80% reduction in your cooling load for each facility will also be achieved. So as you can see, your lighting levels will be maintained, your workplace environment will become more comfortable, a reduction in your cooling demands will be achieved and a considerable environmental benefit will occur. QLED lamps delivers a line of products that last up to 100 times longer than your existing lighting system and provide a tremendous reduction in the frequency and associated costs for lamp replacements.

One closing note; The environmental impact of converting the lamps in the previous example from 90 watt halogen lamps to 23 watt E-fficiency lamps is the equivalent of removing 1,187 average automobiles from the road in Greenhouse Gas Emissions in a one year period. That translates to an annual energy reduction of 7,937,203 kilowatt hours or 28,573.9 Gigajoules.
